Members came from as far afield as Cumbria to gather at the Old Thorns Hotel in Hampshire for our weekend of golf and fun.

Traditional (to TEEforeTWO) mixed fourballs on Saturday afternoon played in wonderful sunshine on the Peter Alliss designed course started the weekend off in great style.

After pre-dinner drinks and prize giving, we all enjoyed a more formal dinner in the ballroom which was packed for the evening. Despite having to look after so many people, the staff were attentive and very efficient.

A late night for some....followed by breakfast and a reasonably early morning tee off time - we played the "waltz" format; fourballs with one score to count on the first, two on the second, three on the third, 1,2,3,1,2,3!

Our winners over the two days (pictured) are to be congratulated, not least for their stamina! They are (clockwise starting on the left in the back row) Mick, Diane, Nigel, Brian, Diana, Tom and Julie. Diane was in the winning team on both days.

A great time was had by all!

We will be returning to the Old Thorns in September of next year. Our events programme for 2010 is shortly to be published on the website.
