TeeforeTwo.co.uk, the online dating and social networking community for people who love to play golf, has now gone live. It has taken a year in the building and is the brainchild of single golfers Janet Lowe and Michael Rayment.
"We met each other playing golf and really enjoyed each other's company," said Michael. "Thereafter, the ice having been broken, it was just very easy to move on and we found we had many other interests in common too. It seemed such a simple idea to try to create a forum whereby golfers can look for new partners and straight away they have something in common... the love of golf. It is also a great, and safe, environment to meet new people."
"We believe that golf is about lifestyle; food, wine, travel, a general quality of life and someone to share it with," said Janet. That is why TeeforeTwo aims to be a community that is more than just golf. To achieve that, a 'Members' Notice Board', where members can post comments for other members to read and reply to, has recently been added, along with and a 'Links' page which supports other websites that the site has used and would be of use to the TeeforeTwo membership.
Michael's background has been the wine industry, but today you are more likely to see him at one of the European Seniors Tour Golf Tournaments where he manages the sponsorship for leading Australian wine brand, Hardys; check out the tournament diary at www.Europeantour.com
Janet was brought up in the Far East, and for many years lived in Hong Kong. Now back in London, she plays golf whenever possible, when not developing TeeforeTwo.
Although TeeforeTwo is only in its infancy, the response has been very exciting and there are many single golfers out there who are just waiting for an opportunity such as this to meet new golf partners - and play more golf!
